Love your galley and your art, could not pass without adding you to my favs,so good Ang and MIla.Shading and balance great.Something for me to aspire to,with my pencils,a4 regular rubber and no blending stump. If you can achieve results like that with those, then there is hope for me yet with mine.....(and I'm learning hair, have a peek in my little galley if you have time and you will see).Be watching you..
Thanks a lot for those words With practice anyone can get to this level and better. Just need to put some love together with the will to do the best you can. Good luck on your cruzade with hairs... i'm still on it.
You did an awesome job - especially on the likeliness. The eyes, the skintones, all is very good. The only small thing that bothers me is the hair on the left side. It looks a bit unfinished. But otherwise, this is a great picture Keep up the good work
Wow looks great. The proportions are correct and the amount of detail you put into the eyes and mouth is phenomenal! I have to agree with =DREIII on the background and hair though. Still, all in all a good portrait! Nice work!
Very nice work - especially the detail in the face without blending. However, it seems like the hair and background were a bit rushed - like you just wanted to hurry up and finish so you could show it off. This isn't much of an issue and it's still a great piece. I just thought I'd see if I could give you a little help for future reference.
Yes, back then(2007)... and still today, i hate to draw hair. Yes i rushed it, not to show it, but because i hated to draw hair. She could be bald, i wouldn't mind! xD I'm a little bit better in drawing hairs, but if i'm not in the mood, i better forget it =/
No problem, I figure a friendly critique every now and then is what being part of the DA community if all about
Everyone has stuff they dread working on lol. Maybe you just didn't have the right tools to work with. Have you ever tried using eraser pencils? It would prob make the process way easier on you and give more detail to any hair you put on paper.
That's probably the problem Because i had a job and little time to draw, i never took the time to discover things that might help me. I only use paper, pencils, a regular rubber and cotton for blending. I've seen around here things like eraser pencils and blending stumps(or whatever that is).
Now that i have no job, i must take a day on my life and spend it on a art shop. I'm certain i'll find things i don't even know they exist =/
